MAO — Mawrid Al Osoul — is a Saudi multi-brand food & beverage holding company, founded in 2023 in Jeddah, running company-owned operations behind a single disciplined platform.
MAO is a Saudi multi-brand, multi-concept food-and-beverage holding company, founded in 2023 in Jeddah and running company-owned operations.
Our brands are already trading — Dabboos, a fried-chicken QSR; Thai Lee, an affordable Thai casual-dining concept; and Mozaic, our premium catering business, cloud-brand incubator and R&D kitchen. Our one thing is operating a disciplined multi-brand restaurant platform — the concepts are the output of that capability, not a series of unrelated bets.
Our Philosophy
Good food shouldn't become a luxury.
Quality for the price, customers treated like family, and dine-in kept central — so a good meal out stays within reach of ordinary families, not just a delivery transaction.
Shared services sit centrally while each brand keeps what the customer actually feels. That lets us open a new branch — or launch a new brand — faster and at lower marginal cost than a standalone operator, so capability and capital compound across concepts.
Deliberately small and AI-enabled, designed to stay lean as the branch count multiplies.
Each concept keeps its own identity and the things that make the experience distinct.
Group CEO Ahmad Moufti previously founded Shobak, an elevated manakeesh concept, scaled it to 18 locations plus a dedicated production factory in Jeddah, and sold it to Kitopi — the SoftBank-backed regional unicorn — in 2021. He reassembled the same senior operating team to build MAO.
Operating experience — from kitchen to supply chain to multi-site rollout — now applied across the MAO platform.
A young, eating-out generation and a national agenda lifting the entire F&B sector.
Company-owned today; franchising explored once the formats are proven. Priority cities:
Each brand serves a distinct occasion and customer, while drawing on the same central platform for supply chain, control and operating discipline.

Premium-quality fried chicken at prices families can actually afford — built to own the open “missing middle” of the chicken market. A dual-occasion brand: affordable family dine-in and delivery through the major aggregators.

Jeddah's first branded, affordable Thai chain — authentic recipes at an accessible price, in a dine-in-led format built to roll out at speed. Recipes anchored by an international culinary partnership with House of Thai.

The engine that makes MAO a platform rather than a portfolio: premium catering for blue-chip events, a cloud-kitchen incubator for delivery-first brands, and the group's central R&D kitchen where every new concept is de-risked.
A senior team with a shared track record in Saudi F&B — many of whom built and scaled a previous concept together before reassembling to build the group.

Brands built and operated on one disciplined, company-owned platform — with a lean head office and a senior team built for multi-brand scale.
